Most of us know someone who has suffered with cancer, and reports about the disease seem unavoidable. When you or someone close to you is diagnosed with cancer, its like hearing about the disease for the first time. Patients wonder how their condition should be treated, what the outcome of that treatment will be, and how their illness and therapy will affect their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

At the Baystate Regional Cancer Program, our patients and their families have confidence knowing that our coordinated approach to cancer care management assures that they will receive state-of-the-art treatments, promising the greatest likelihood of a successful outcome. We also remember that every patient is an individual with a unique medical situation and life experience; and each has a distinct set of social needs which must be addressed. Innovative programs, including prostate seed implants, an accredited peripheral blood stem cell program (unique in western Massachusetts), and our renowned Comprehensive Breast Center, have contributed significantly to improved outcomes for our patients.

Baystate's world-class pathology and radiation oncology departments provide outstanding support to our efforts to diagnose and treat malignancies. And our rapidly-expanding clinical research division offers patients access to the latest investigational therapies as well as assuring patients of high-quality care by monitoring the outcomes of our efforts.

Our accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a "Teaching Hospital Cancer Program" and our affiliation with Tufts University School of Medicine provide further recognition of our commitment to quality care, research, and teaching.

Meet our management team.
